If you’re an eczema mama, you know the feeling—you find something that actually works well for your baby’s sensitive skin, and suddenly you never want to be without it.
Over the past several months, we’ve tried what feels like everything for Ryder’s skin. Creams, sprays, bath products, laundry swaps, clothing, filters—you name it. Some products were quickly pushed to the back of the cabinet, while others became things I make sure we never run out of.
After a lot of trial and error, I’ve built a little eczema toolkit of products we reach for over and over again. Some are specifically for his skin, while others are everyday household products that have helped us create a gentler environment around him.
These aren’t products I’m sharing because they’re trendy or because someone told me they’re a “must-have.” They’re simply the things that have earned a permanent place in our home after living through eczema firsthand.
Every person’s skin and triggers are different, so what works for Ryder may not work for every baby. But if you’re standing in the middle of the eczema aisle wondering where to even begin, I hope sharing our favorites gives you a place to start.
Here are the 9 products I always have on hand as an eczema mom.
- TINY HEALTH GUT TESTING:

Tiny Health is a company I will continue to promote because, out of everything we’ve tried, exploring Ryder’s gut health made one of the biggest differences in his eczema journey. The test is incredibly easy—you collect a small stool sample at home, send it in, and receive a detailed look at the gut microbiome along with personalized recommendations.
For Ryder, those recommendations included specific probiotics and additional gut support. Within a few weeks of implementing them, we noticed softer skin, less itching, and fewer flares. His eczema isn’t 100% gone, but the improvement was significant enough that we chose to retest three months later to check his progress and determine our next steps.
Definitely one of the most valuable tools we’ve used throughout our eczema journey.
2. PARASOL DIAPERS:

Finding a diaper that checks all the boxes—a great fit, reliable absorbency, and cleaner materials—can feel surprisingly difficult. During our eczema journey, we discovered Parasol Diapers and haven’t looked back!
They’re fragrance-free, totally chlorine-free, hypoallergenic, and EWG Verified, and are made without things like added dyes, PFAS, and phthalates. As an eczema mom, they checked so many of my boxes without sacrificing performance or absorbency.
These have become a staple in our home and a diaper I’ll continue coming back to.
3. ATTITUDE LIVING LAUNDRY PRODUCTS:

In my opinion, laundry detergent is one of the most important swaps for anyone with sensitive or eczema-prone skin. Our clothes, pajamas, bedding, and towels are against our skin all day, and residue from detergents, fabric softeners, and dryer sheets can remain behind on fabrics.
ATTITUDE has become one of my favorite EWG Verified brands for cleaner household products. Their fragrance-free laundry detergent gets our clothes clean without the added fragrance and ingredients I’m trying to avoid.
I reach for it every single day—not only for Ryder’s sensitive skin, but as a cleaner choice for our entire family.
4. HONEST WIPES:

With one kiddo still in diapers and another in the middle of potty training, a good wipe is a must in our house! Honest wipes are unscented, plant-based, hypoallergenic, and EWG Verified—while still actually holding up to the messy jobs.
They’re thick enough that you don’t feel like you’re wiping your baby’s bottom with your bare hand, moist enough to clean without going through a million wipes, and soft enough for sensitive skin.
These have been a staple in our home since Maverick was born in 2023, and they’re still the wipes we reach for every day (even my hubby).
5. EUCERIN ECZEMA LINE:

The debate around bathing and eczema is ongoing, and like so many things with eczema, what works best can vary from person to person. For Ryder, daily baths seemed to leave his skin feeling more hydrated—especially when we used the Eucerin Eczema Relief Body Wash followed immediately by the Eucerin Eczema Relief Cream.
Of everything on this list, this is probably the product line we’ve repurchased the most. Both products are fragrance-free, gentle, and formulated with colloidal oatmeal to help relieve dry, itchy, eczema-prone skin.
This is one I always keep backups of in our house because I never want to run out!
6. MARY RUTH’S PROBIOTICS:

The MaryRuth’s lineup is a staple in our household. Both of my boys use products from the brand, from daily multivitamins to some of the supplements we reach for during cold and flu season.
For Ryder, MaryRuth’s Organic Infant Probiotic Drops have become part of our daily routine. They’re unflavored, easy to give, and contain five probiotic strains with 100 million CFU per serving to support digestive and gut health- meaning more good bacteria is getting to your gut!
MaryRuth’s continues to be one of our go-to supplement brands because I appreciate their focus on ingredient transparency and Clean Label Project certifications.
7. CANOPY BATH FILTER:

Water quality can vary so much from place to place, and when you’re dealing with eczema-prone skin, it’s another potential irritant worth considering. When we found the Canopy Bath Filter, adding it to Ryder’s bath routine was an easy decision for us.
The filter uses activated carbon, calcium sulfite, and copper-zinc media to help reduce chlorine and other impurities in bath water. I also love the thoughtful extras, like the BPA-free silicone spout cover and built-in temperature indicator.
We’ve noticed a difference in how both Ryder’s and Maverick’s skin feels after baths. We love it so much that it’s now on our packing list when we travel!
8. SHARK AIR PURIFER:

Air quality was another area we wanted to address when looking at potential environmental triggers for Ryder. Adding an air purifier felt like a worthwhile change not only for his eczema-prone skin, but for our entire family.
Our Shark Air Purifier uses a HEPA filtration system to capture airborne particles and allergens, while the Clean Sense IQ monitors air quality and automatically adjusts as needed. It’s quiet, compact, and doesn’t feel like a giant eyesore sitting in the room.
Ours is always running and has become a permanent fixture in our home!
9. ACTIVE SKIN REPAIR:

This is another product I recommend not only for eczema-prone skin, but as an all-around medicine cabinet staple. We use HOCl spray for everything from minor cuts and scrapes to bug bites and everyday skin irritation.
Hypochlorous acid is a gentle antimicrobial that helps reduce bacteria on the skin without alcohol or harsh ingredients. The product we use is FDA-cleared, alcohol-free, non-toxic, and has the National Eczema Association Seal of Acceptance.
You’ll always find a bottle in our medicine cabinet—and it’s one I’ll continue restocking for the foreseeable future!
Living with eczema has taught me that there is rarely one product, one swap, or one perfect routine that works for everyone. These nine products have simply become the ones we reach for again and again because they’ve worked well for Ryder and fit the cleaner, more intentional lifestyle we’re trying to create for our family. Our eczema journey is still a work in progress, and we’re still learning along the way. My hope is that sharing the things that have helped us gives another eczema mama a few ideas, a place to start, and maybe even one less thing to research. You know your little one’s skin best—keep asking questions, keep paying attention to the patterns, and don’t lose hope.
